You will arrive latest 1pm to begin the expedition. There will be a final gear inspection on arrival with the opportunity to procure any last minute items locally.

A nighttime departure from Kibo Hut (4,700 m) marks the beginning of your ascent of Uhuru Peak (5,895 m), Kilimanjaro’s summit. High altitude puts any climber’s body to the test, despite the moderate physical challenge of this section of the Marangu Route.
Each climbing pair will have a separate guide with them for the duration of the expedition, who will be keeping an eye on your stamina and willpower. You will then return to Kibo Camp and continue your descent to Horombo Hut (3,720 m) after a two-hour break.
