The Itinerary

On your arrival at the Kathmandu Airport, our representative will meet you outside “arrival terminal” at the airport and then transfer you to your booked hotel. Overnight in Hotel on a sharing basis unless if special arrangements have been made(B)
Beginning of the Adventure – Early morning you are transferred to domestic airport for your flight to Lukla which takes approx.35 mins. Lukla airport is the one and only gateway to Khumbu region and it is one of the world-famous airports in the world as the landing is done on the narrow, sleeping runway high above the Dudh Koshi River. Upon arriving at Lukla, the Expedition staffs will make necessary arrangements to start the trek. The trek to Phakding is an easy walk for the first day with the mostly downhill leg. The trek will take you through pastoral lands through several small villages and farms, beautiful stone carved Mani walls & crossing several suspension bridges. Approximately after 4 hours, we reach Phakding village which lies on the bank of Dudh Koshi river where we will be spending our night. (2651M) – 4/5 HRS TREK Overnight in Local Lodge (BLD)
We continue to trek moving along the banks of Dudh Koshi River and cross the suspension bridge over the majestic river several times to reach the village of Monjo. We then enter Sagarmatha National Park where we may get the glimpse of different wildlife. The trail continues to ascend steeply before arriving in Namche Bazaar, also known as “the Gateway to Everest”. (3440M) – 5/6 HRS TREK Overnight in Local Lodge (BLD)
“Wellbeing” of the team is our top priority. As we are over 3000 meters, allowing more time for body to acclimatize is recommended so we stop for one more day in Namche. Climb High Sleep Low is our theme for the day. After breakfast we will hike up to Everest View Hotel which offers a stunning panoramic view of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Amadablam etc. We then walk down to Khumjung village to see the famous Hillary School and Kunde Hospital which was built by Sir Edmund Hillary after his first ascent of Mount Everest. After lunch we then hike down to Namche for the night stop.
After breakfast, we make a short detour to National Park HQ and Sherpa museum before heading out to Tyangboche. We trek to Tengboche keeping Mt Thamserku to our East and upper Khumbu valley to the North. With an amazing view of the mountain before us, we pass through flat and forested trail filled with colorful rhododendrons, oaks, and pines down to the river before the climb begins. Tengboche lies on top of the ridge with a beautiful monastery and scenic up-close view of mighty peaks.
(4360M) – 5/6 HRS TREK:
Overnight in Local Lodge (BLD)
The day begins with amazing golden rays over Everest at sunrise on a good day. Leaving behind Tengboche, we head towards Dingboche via Debuche, Pangboche and Shomare villages. We ascend to the village of Pangboche passing through Rhododendron Forest, thousands of Mani stones & Chortens. Dingboche is a quaint village inhabited by Sherpa people which offers a stunning view of Lhotse South Face (8414m), Island Peak (6189m), and Ama Dablam North Ridge (6856m). (4240M) – 5/6 HRS TREK. Overnight in Local Lodge (BLD)
We have just hit a little over 4000 meters and is a perfect location to acquaint our body to altitude to ensure that we are not moving too hard / too fast. “Altitude and attitude must go hand in hand”. Keeping it in mind, remaining day is a leisure day at your disposal. Overnight in Local Lodge (BLD)
A gentle climb over the ridge opens up to a beautiful valley towards Lobuche. We will stop in Thukla for lunch before climbing to the mountaineer memorial site where great mountaineers are honored and remembered for their love for the mountains. Walking along the moraine of Khumbu glacier, we head into the small village of Lobuche. (4,940M): 5-6 HRS TREK Overnight in Local Lodge (BLD)
Long day ahead. After breakfast, we start our trek towards Gorakshep 5140m crossing over rocky moraine enjoying great views along the way. Sheer steep mountain considered challenging by many – Mt. Pumori dominates the scene while we approach closer to Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse and the Khumbu Icefall. As you walk across the rocks towards the many prayer flags that mark the spot, you will arrive at Everest Base Camp. During the expedition season in Spring, many of the groups are settled here in their respective camps awaiting their climb to the highest mountain in the world. It will take approximately 2.5 hours to reach Everest Base Camp from Gorakshep. After taking photographs and enjoying the moment, we head back towards Gorakshep for the overnight. TREK TO EVEREST BC (5,364M) & BACK TO GORAKSHEP (5140M): 7 HRS TREK Overnight in Local Lodge (BLD)
Early morning, we head towards Kalapathar to enjoy the mesmerizing Sunrise view. It is a fairly tiring walk up there unless you are well acclimatized. But our hard climb is replenished with the memorable Everest & other big mountain views. Descent from Kalapattar is easy, just a quick straight down walk to Gorakshep. We have our breakfast here and then we descend further down to Lobuche the same route we came up. VISIT KALAPATTHAR (5550M) AND BACK TO LOBUCHE (4940M) – 6/8 HRS TREK Overnight in Local Lodge (BLD)
After breakfast, we trek to Lobuche East higher camp which takes approximately 4 to 6 hours. Following the fairly steep route towards the higher camp where for the first time the team will spend a night in tents. (5800M) – 4/6 HRS TREK. Overnight in Tented Camp
Long and exciting day ahead. We leave higher camp around in the night after a quick ‘breakfast’. We start with a slow climb up and at the crampon point it’s a verital climb with crampons on fixed ropes. It will be a sun rise summit if all goes will with a beautiful view of Everest and Lhotse apart from the sea of other mountains in the region. After spending some time at the summit, we then return back to higher camp for the night to celebrate and relax. (6119M & BACK TO 5800M) Overnight in Tented Camp
After breakfast, we retrace our steps towards Pangboche which takes approx. 6/7 hrs walk. (3930M) – 6/7 HRS TREK Overnight in Local Lodge (BLD)
We continue our descend from Pangboche to Namche passing via Tengboche which takes approx. 5/6 hrs walk. 5/6 HRS TREK. Overnight in Local Lodge (BLD)
Today is the last day of our adventurous trek. We descend down to Lukla from Namche. The trail will be exciting as well as easier as we will pass through the forest of rhododendron and pines. 6 HOURS Overnight in Local Lodge (BLD)
We bid our farewell to crew members and enjoy our last view of the high mountains while flying back to the Kathmandu from Lukla. Aerial views of snow-capped mountains will be worth to watch during the flight. After 35 minutes of flight, our representative will be waiting for you at domestic airport to take you back to the hotel where you can spend the afternoon with a chilled beer and warm shower. Overnight in Hotel (B)
This day serves as a cushion day, in case the regular schedule flight from Lukla gets affected due to bad weather. Remaining day is at own disposal. In the Evening the group will enjoy dinner at any of the selected local restaurants. Overnight in Hotel (B)
Depending on your flight time you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home. NOTE: The airport checks in is 3 hours prior to the departure time and the hotel checkout time is 12PM. In case our flight is late evening please let us know if you require half day use of the hotel.
